Can the Windows XP Recent Documents History be increased?

Can the Windows XP Recent Documents History be increased up to a few weeks of history. if not is there any software preferably freeware available.

if you know you created a Word document the week of May 19th, you can open the Journal Folder, and scroll back to that date to see all the documents you created on or around May 19th.

You have to open up internet options from the control panel, and on the general tab , you can increase the size of the history in the amount of days that your computer keeps websites visited and I think that may increase the amount of documents, too. You can also just go to microsoft tech support on the internet and do a search for that.
