Volcanic Rock's answer is wrong. I have XP Home CD which includes SP2. The real difference is that PRO is designed for office use, connected to a server, and Home is for home use, poss only connected to the internet direct. Pro includes the ability for someone else on your Intranet to be able to remotely change your settings for you. |

Windows XP Pro Has got better security than Windows Home,It has also got features like Remote Desktop,access to files & folders on a network share when disconnected from the server, two-way multi-processor support,protects sensitive data in files that are stored on disk using the NTFS file system,simplifies the administration of groups of users or computers. and many more
