| Trying to set up Windows 98.?
I recently got an old laptop (got a good deal on it). I formated it using my Windows 98 disc (it used to have windows XP) and put Windows 98 on it.
Now, I can't get it to recognize USB, CD, or the internet connection. I know it worked before as the person I got it from showed me. I tried to uninstall (the CD drive works in the Bios and such) and reinstall it but I get the same problem.
I am aware (or pretty sure) I am simply missing drivers, but without being able to access the internet, CDs, or USB I am not sure how to fix this.
There is no floppy drive, and because the USBs are not working external ones are not going to work either.
I only have 1 copy of XP that I am using on my PC.
I do not know how to use DOS or anything past super basics in command prompt.
No, MS-DOS does not recognize it.
