My computer won't start from the standby mode.Any ideas for troubleshooting?

I have Windows XP,I always used the standby mode,never had a problem before.Recently I have downloaded Skype and added a camera.Can these cause the problem?

Yes it is probably that the camera doesn't support "going to sleep". Try to unplug it and then put your computer into standby.

It's the camera. Disconnect it before putting your computer to sleep.

Added programs could very well be the problem. Try to uninstall them and see what happens. You could also do a system restore to a date before your problems started.

i wold use a restore point, then reload skype and camera one at a time and see which one screw it up. if you figure it out look for an updated installation file for the the one screwing it up.
