| CRT or LCD for gaming
Quite a few new LCDs are coming out that have response fast enough for gaming. My Dell 24" LCDs work great in even FPS games in very high rez. -- Scotter <nickolas80@gmail.com> wrote in message news:1134018943.714949.180630@z14g2000cwz.googlegr oups.com... |

The response rate is easily quick enough and the screens actually look clearer/more defined than they used to on my old 19" CRT. Not that refresh rates mean anything on LCD screens. Just be sure to check out any model you may be interested in ahead of time to see how true the blacks are because this can be an issue with some LCD's. Personally, I'm glad I made the switch from CRT to LCD earlier this year, and this is to say nothing of some of the other side benefits such as lower power consumption, more available desk space and not so much heat spewing out (very nice for the summer). |

Same size, same resolution, but more flexible, longer warranty, and probably around half the prize... But these displays also require a gfx card with Dual Link DVI... Benjamin |
