| connect laptop to computer with a speedstream modem?
i have a speedstream modem connected to the computer in my room. my new laptop has one of those internet chips in it to connect to the internet. i do not have a router. is it possible to connect my laptop to the internet through the modem on my computer in my room? thanks<3  |

i am asuming the modem does NOT have a built in wireless router, so you will need to plug the laptop into it with a wire, if the modem only has one port for this, you will need to unplug the other computer or get a router or switch. if the computer that is plugged into it has a wireless card you can make it share internet with the laptop. |
