notebook computers?

I'm looking for a laptop for college in the fall. I know that on my laptop I want a webcam and I definitely need microsoft word for classes... and other than that I just need my aol instant messenger. What else should I be looking for in a notebook computer for college?

I'm going into my second year of college with my MacBook, and I couldn't be happier. I have never had any sort of problems with it. You can buy Microsoft Office (which obviously includes Microsoft Word) for a Mac and it works just the same as Microsoft Office for a P.C. Also, many university computer stores have discounts on this software. You can also run AIM on a Mac and it has a built in WebCam.
I have a lot of friends with P.C.s who run Windows Vista (which came installed on their laptops) and they have had a lot of problems. I don't think all of the bugs are worked out of that operating system yet, but that's just my opinion....

order a dell laptop online and you can add a webcam on it for 25 dollars and i think you cann add microsoft word too, but thats gonna cost like i thknk 100? im not sure.
