My computer is not powering up, lights keep flickering on keyboard?

last night my computer was working fine until I turned it off. It then started acting weird. In order to turn it on I had to keep pressing the power button a few times, kind of like a car that takes a while to start up. Now, it doesn't turn on at all and all the lights on keyboard keep flickering... What is most likely the problem and what do I need to replace?

Sounds like a bum power supply. As a previous poster said, you can test it yourself with a multimeter to see if it's working.

If that's greek to you, many small PC shops will be willing to test the PSU for you for free. Or you can go to a bigger place like Best Buy and Circuit City and have them charge you $50ish.

I would recommend not trying to use the PC again until you have it checked out. Sometimes a power supply goes on it's own, without harming anything else.. However, other times it can take EVERYTHING with it, leaving you with nothing but a computer-shaped piece of scrap metal.
