Our puppy has worms! Is panacur- c effective in treating strongyloides? is there...

...something better? We got a yorkie 2 1/2 mos. ago. He was very sick when we got him. He was diagnosed w/coccidia & strongyloides after being (mis)diagnosed w/pnuemonia & becoming lethargic. That was 6wks ago, now he's active, eats regulary, drinks, and plays. He has gained wt. going from 2lbs to 3lbs. He's almost 6 mos. old. He had albon & panacur prescribed the1st time (also a steroid once for the congestion) (an antibiotic the first week). He has since been on panacur-c 3x because the strongyloides!
He dry coughs at least 5x a day. Is this because of the strongyloides? kennel cough?
Everytime we think he is better, he poops w/ jelly stuff & drops of blood & his stomach gurgles, all signs of worms and back to the vet we go. (we are there almost every week) This is the 3rd time he has been on panacur-c.
How long til' it works? coughing stops? We can't wait til' he's healthy! Thanks.
ps. we p/u the poop outside. 1 fecal showed no strongys, false neg? 2 wks later positive. 1 day left of panacur-c

If I were You I would Change Vets,if he has blood and mucus in his stools this needs further investigation.

Panacure works great. For the caughing he needs to see a vet.

Well in the initial treatment, The albon was for Coccidia and Panacur was for deworming. Remember though that Panacur is a fenbendazole base, and there are several other alternatives that are actually the same product, such as safe-guard.
Now as for a bloody stool, there are several things that can be causing this. The best answer here is for a vet (maybe a different one) because this could be worms, Parvo, etc. The coughing is probably from this too.
